As part of Birmingham Self Portrait we have run many self portrait sessions in communities, arts centres and hostels. During these sessions we have had many children and young people take part.
The resulting pictures show the breadth of responses and how participants can express their individuality.
In schools there is great potential for self portrait sessions to contribute to positive school culture and identity.
