new college telford

We are into our second year working with New College Telford a Sixth Form College in Shropshire. We worked closely with the Marketing Manager to develop a new approach geared to appeal to potential students.

New College Telford were looking for a style that would have a visual relationship to their new web site which uses black space to appeal to the youth market. We successfully developed a style that reflected some of these elements while also working well in print, including a colour palette that would really jump out at you when placed against black.

The client had originally wanted one document but as discussions progressed they identified a need to highlight marketing and publicity information as well as course information. And of course to have it made as cost effective as possible. So we came up with a two-part solution. There’s a five-panel, fold-out brochure printed both sides on strong card packed with marketing information about the college, the benefits of choosing New College and event dates for your diary. There’s also a more traditional course guide, with full and half page images where we followed the strong style and gave the client a structured template to help them organise their information. This helped to keep the pages simple and uncluttered. At the Open Evening some prospective students took the brochure and phoned for the guide later, some took the guide, some both, so it’s proving very flexible.
