Brian Homer

Originally qualifying as an electrical engineer, Brian’s work in the electricity industry included work study and manning-level reviews. His career in graphic communications started in 1971 when he co-founded Grapevine, a Birmingham-based alternative 'what's on' magazine. In 1981, using his editorial and photographic experience, he went solo as Brian Homer Design at a time when there were very few agencies in the West Midlands offering communications services to the public sector. He is a member of the National Union of Journalists.

Homer Creative has grown from there and became a limited company in 2003. In the nineties Brian was one of four associates based in Birmingham offering specifically tailored marketing services to schools – again well ahead of what most agencies were doing. These associates are still part of the wider Homer family.
