face to face with school improvement

back to previous page

Working with two new client schools in the North East to support their improvement strategies.

In both cases we are undertaking comprehensive stakeholder opinion surveys involving individuals and groups: pupils, teachers, governors, parents, senior staff, managers and feeder school heads. “Responses so far have been very encouraging,” says Graham Darbyshire. “There has been positive feedback from staff, who are finding it very helpful to speak to someone independent about successes and areas of concern.”

Brian Homer points out that, “It’s important to realise these surveys are not questionnaires. They are genuine face to face interviews that allow detail and any ambiguity to be teased out and examined and give valuable feedback that will help in improving the schools.”
